Yes, Bark & Bracken is fully insured with Protectivity, this includes dog walking, dog sitting and key cover. A copy of the insurance certificate can be viewed during your free initial meet and greet.
I am DBS checked which I can provide a copy for you to keep. Being a professional person, Bark & Bracken will take the security of your home and welfare of your pets very seriously at all times.
You are not required to be home if Bark & Bracken collect your dog, however a key to your home will be needed. All keys will be kept securely and will never be kept with any details of your home address, only the dog/ pets name. We will both sign a document at the initial meeting to say you have entrusted Bark & Bracken with your keys. When your dog is dropped back at your home, it will be washed off and dried where possible, water checked and refilled if necessary and any food given if required.
Dogs will be walked close to your home but if you prefer them to be walked somewhere different, they can be transported safely on a comfortable bed within my air conditioned car to a nearby suitable location.
Times will be agreed at initial meeting and where possible Bark & Bracken will attempt to fit around your required schedule even if this varies from day to day. However I would appreciate as much notice as possible.
In the unlikely event of an emergency, I will immediately call to notify you or if you are not available, your extra contact. If veterinary assistance is required, I will endeavour to get your pet to your named veterinary practice for which details will be taken at the initial consultation. If that is not possible, I would take them to my veterinary practice or the nearest depending on the circumstances. For all minor injuries, a pet first aid kit will be carried at all times.
Yes, for the welfare of other dogs, Bark & Bracken would prefer to take on fully vaccinated and microchipped dogs that are also up to date with worm and deflea treatment.
Any bitches in season can only be walked individually and on a lead at all times.
Bark & Bracken is predominantly a 1-2-1 dog walking company but can provide walks with one of my own dogs or a small group of 2 dogs if required.
This can be assessed at the Meet and Greet but for the welfare of other dogs, people and myself, Bark & Bracken are unable to walk potentially aggressive dogs or any aggressive breeds.

Yes, Bark & Bracken are happy to give your pet its required medication if full details are given.
In extreme heat, dogs will only be walked early in the early morning or late afternoon depending on conditions and walks will be cut short if necessary and owners reimbursed. In severe wind, snow or thunderstorms, dogs will not be walked if there is deemed to be any risk to your dog or myself.
